Bill Toms
Rock / Folk / Americana
Attending a Bill Toms and Hard Rain show is like
chugging a Red Bull, without the aftertaste: It's all about
energy. But although he can rock with the best of them, the
Pittsburgh Pa resident has another musical side, exploring
the folk tradition of Americana with an introspective pen.

comes out of life's lessons. Regardless of age, gender, and
background they are the story lines we all can relate to.

overnight crossing
The Overnight Crossing is Julie Hardy & Mark Dewings; two
people who drifted into NYC to make music, though never
expected to make music with each other. With a unique style
that can only be described as 'indie folk chamber music',
they're influenced as much by Schumann as Simon & Garfunkel,
by Bon Iver as much as the Beatles. Their backgrounds are as
varied as their sound: one conservatory trained musician,
one musical hack; one American, one European; one girl, one
guy. |

BASOON and BEYOND JAZZ QUARTET
Daniel Smith
JaZZ
Daniel Smith, who has been called the ‘greatest’ bassoon
player of his generation, plays selections from his

renowned jazz quartet. With a long standing reputation as a
major solo artist in the classical world, Daniel Smith has

exciting live performances with his unique sound and
repertoire and with music ranging from swing, bebop, the
blues, Latin, ballads and much more.
Nominated as finalist for 'player of the year' by the Jazz
Journalists Association in 2008 in their category of

Jason Darling
Classic Rock / 2-step / Shoegaze
During W's eight long and miserable years, except for Jason
and a few others, no one was really putting to music lyrics
about the institutionalization of corruption on Wall Street
and corporate America or its effects on the moral fiber of
everything that is good in us: the capacity to truly love
and to give. It was Jason's prophetic words that resonate
now more sharply than ever.
That Jason, a brilliant songwriter and one of the finest
guitar players of his generation, is not at the top, is a
sad commentary on how screwed up our recording industry has
been over the years.
